Quotenice parts !! how come they took so long at customs ?
A little creativity from my side that kinda snowballed when it got in the hands of customs officers ;)

Trying to fool them to avoid import taxes? When they are awake for a change they nail you twice as hard....
I guess it's a game of some kind for all of us Euro guys.
But afterall it worked out for you and I hope to see some updates in the future because your build looks promising....
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

You know brother, last time I e-mailed you... yo were talking about a white paint job on that 68 and I painted my car alot like yours was. You have any current pic's. I guess I am just assuming that with these new parts you might be beyond paint by now. Also how is the carbon fiber deck lid turning out. By the way sweet parts you got there. I know you work out of country alot but your going to drive yourself insane knowing you have that beast back home. How will you be able to focus on work. I have that problem and my boss knows it. New pic's. :drool5:

suntech

Hey Drifter....looking forward to see pictures of your car now with the new paint
It was really inspiring to get the parts in house, but it will take time till i really get going on the car. Last fall i bought myself a 70 acre farm, and we are restoring the house there, before we move in. Next on the list has to be new stables, since we also have horses (i know...but what does a guy do to keep the missis happy!! )...........THEN....i will build myself a 2000 square feet workshop/ toybox, so i can just walk over the lot, and work on the car.  :2thumbs: I hope to have this done within a year. By then the rest of the parts, like the fuel injected 611 aluminum hemi/ tranzilla T56, and some other things will already be home, so i can work eficciant when i am home. Molds for the hood and trunklid should also be done by then.
I would ofcause like to get going on the car as soon as possible, but with the opportunety i got to get this place, i had to grab it, and prioritize in the right sequenze, to get it right for the future. As you say i work abroad (Korea), and the downside is that i am away 4 weeks at the time, but upside is that i am home 4 weeks at the time also, free to do what i want!! I know that many are questioning my choice of color, but combined with black/ grey/ carbon detailing, i think it will be ok! the wheels i am looking at is Fikse profile 5 S , with black spokes, and polished outers. 9,5 x19 front, with 275/35, and 12x19 rear, with 335/30´s. The tires i am looking at is Nitto NT 05.
When done it should be a fairly nice ride....and hopefully fairly fast :D

Hi suntech

I read 611 aluminium hemi.... you putting a 611ci engine in there :icon_smile_question:

What kind of rear end is that? Sorry but my knowledge is limited and I only know of 8-3/4 and dana 60's, is that one of those or something different altogether? (what does what you got offer).

I also really like the colour of that diff, looks different yet elegant/expensive. Would love to know how the car goes when its done. Great work :2thumbs:

suntech

Yup you read right, i am putting a fuel injected 611 aluminum hemi in there, with a 6 speed manual behind it. The rearend is from Mark Williams, and is called a modular rear. The 3rd member is like a Ford 9" .......but don´t tell anybody...hehe. The blue piece on the rear is an oilpump, so i will run the oil through a filter and cooler, before it goes back in to the pinionbearing area.
The front suspention i have is a XV level II, and i will most likely put billet lowering spindles on it. Rear suspention is also the XV level II, but will be modified to 4 link/ wattslink.
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

I'm a customs officer I thought you had pictures of car parts worth thousands of dollars in those picture you submitted but I see now I was wrong, they are in deed as you described flower pots worth a couple hundred bucks. :smilielol:

studio57
