When to Loctite?

When I put an engine together I normally use a thread sealer on bolts that go into a water jacket or oil galley. I use Loctite on torque convertor bolts. Other than that, I don't normally use anything. Never had a problem.  I'm curious if anyone uses Loctite and where do you use it? Head/Main studs? Cam bolts? Block girdles? Oil pump bolts? Flex Plate/Torque covertor bolts?
There was a recent thread where cam bolts came loose and messed things up. That's what prompts this question.

Just like lots of you I used BLUE loctite on the camshaft bolts, flexplate bolts, and just a tad on the torque converter bolts.

I use Loctite (red liquid) whenever theres moving parts...Torque converters-flexplates, flywheels, main and rod bolts, cam bolts, fan clutches, rocker shafts,  dampner,  etc.......NEVER had a failure!!   I use thread sealer whenever coolant is involved....and anti-seize  for sparkplugs.    I also like to use ARP  lube for bolts and their torque values such as the rods and mains and head bolts

It's an either/or situation I believe, right?
I'm using the ARP lube as needed. I use blue loctite on cam bolts and red on convertor bolts. I read an article a while back where they recommended loctite on rocker arm adjusters that already had jam nuts. Seems overkill to me.

blue on bolts that you want to un do again  
i would not loctite any bolts or nuts  in side a motor except cam shaft gear attaching bolt   ,  for me personally  would not use loctite on main bearing  bolts & rod bearing cap nuts  , think would mess up torque  reading !
just stick to clean threads with arp bolt lub & torque to FSM

Well....Ive never had a failure...And along with ARP lube...I shouldn't have any inaccurate preload issues on the bolts...I just use one drop on the threads anyway.  I guess its just a matter of preferences
