I just remembered this website & wanted to post the link here in case others want to try it. This site is where people post free stuff they are looking to get rid of, or if there are things you are looking for & want it for free. I doubt you'll find a free Hemi Charger, but you never know.

To see if there is one in your area, just go here..... http://www.freecycle.org/

My wife has had good responses from people when she needs to get rid of things. Sometimes we just leave it on the porch & don't have to be home when they come to pick it up. It sure beats tossing it in the landfill for a fee & making a trip to get rid of it.

Yup, seen this site before. Good idea, as one mans trash is another mans treasure. I also give tons of clothes and toys, to our local boys & girls club. They usually send a flyer about a pick up date. Set it on the curb, and it helps me and the charity out! Mrs.skip68

I'll have to tape that sight to my wifes forehead. Im seeing us on a future episode of hoarders someday. Im afraid to go in our upstairs spare bedroom alone. If something ever happened up there it would take them 5 days to find me.

Man, I've seen that hoarding show & it scares the crap out of me.  :o

Soon after I saw it for the first time, I was motivated to get rid of some stuff. Been sorting through boxes in my basement, a few in the garage, & elsewhere when I have time. I don't save trash like some of these people, but there were some things I had that I haven't seen in years. I kept it in case I needed it, but at some point it has to go. I even got my 11 year old to give some toys to the younger kids on our street. She watched the same show & can't believe what people save.

We have used freecycle a few times. We bought a new tv years ago for our bedroom to replace an old console type tv........you know the ones that weigh about 12 tons and is the size of a small couch! :o An older man and son came and took the thing, the best deal was that they loaded it themselves! ;D

I have an old TV like that, but no forklift to move it. Instead of busting a nut I plan to do the same thing.

I've been tossing things that are not worth trying to sell or give away, but in my area, the transfer station where we can bring certain items we are tossing, charges fees to get rid of it. Things like a TV or an A/C, or other appliances are like $15 each. If you have something that still works, maybe someone needs it & will take it off your hands for free & save you the disposal fees. I also have a tough time throwing away something that I know someone else can use.

I'm the opposite. I can't seem to throw anything away. I see myself heading towards a hoarders show in the future. If I'm being honest anyways. The only way anything gets thrown out in this house is if my wife does it before I get home and notice its gone. Otherwise I have been known to go outside pick it back up and put it back where I had it. It was pretty bad we had 4 sheds at the old house. Now if I could just hurry up and get this barn built at the new house we wouldn't have any storage issues.

Danny, when you posted that time about saving old newspapers, I suddenly felt guilty that I had sent you that box of Hemmings magazines. If I come across anymore old issues, from now on I'm just going to scan them & email them to you so I don't have to feel like I'm contributing to your problem.
