Today I got my new car. It is a 1974 Plymouth Valiant with a 318, the odometer reads about 17,000 miles and I dont have a reason to believe it turned over. This thing is a creampuff, factory undercoating and no rust at all. The only thing that has been done to it is a dual exhaust and a repaint sometime. Even the emission stuff is still hooked up. This thing is so slow it cant get out of its own way and handles like its on marshmallows. I should pick it up on tuesday.

Undercover cop car.
That's for sure...I got busted once for drinking beer under age, by a couple cops in a car almost identical to that one! I even got to try out the back seat for a while... :smilielol:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Cool ride! Reminds me alot of a '75 4-door Dart thats been in my family since new (although it is not no where near as nice as your Valiant). My Uncle bought it new, then my Grandfather bought it from him. When my Grandfather passed away in '87 (I was 10 years old), Then my father got it. He drove it back and forth to work until '92, the car was just wore out...brakes gone...clutch gone, etc. It has been sitting there since.
Believe it or not, thats the car that got me interested in Mopars....as a kid I thought it was a cool 'ol Dodge. Its also taught me about manual transmissions, I remember asking my Pops why the shifter didn't have PRND21 like Moms car. He explained to me how to drive a straight shift. It was a column shift 3-speed with a bench seat, so I would sit by Pops and shift the gears....totally awesome to a 10 year old, LOL.
Its been sitting along time and its rough looking now, but I have thought about fixing it up one day.

Anyways like I said...Nice car :2thumbs:

Thanks I drove it home today, an hour drive. The car ran flawlessly. It still has the original hoses and belts.
Look what I found between the seat.

On my Duster, the original bumper it just had the mounting clips on the bumper itself and about a 1/3rd of the top of the plate got hid up under the bumper itself. When I took that bumper off and put a nicer shape one on (from a '74 Scamp), it had a bracket so the plate sits lower now. I'll grab a few pictures.

If it isn't off too much why not grind the plate?

VERY nice ride.

I was going to bid on a 74 Scamp 2 door in California but just too far way. It sold for $450 and was clean.

Might I suggest some 15" rallye wheels with BFGoodrich Radial T/a's like Cody put on his Duster, and some 340 chrome exhaust tips.

In my humble opinion, that would make for one "hell-of-a-good-looking" A-body four door! :drool5:

Old Moparz, that is great
My plans for wheels on it are to buy some 15" Jeep Cherokee wheels off my friend and paint them black so I have a little bit better tire selection but still maintain a similar look.
