Lisa, Thanks for thinking of me.  Hi guys and gals. Thank you for all the wishes and prayers.  :angelwings:  My surgeon said the surgery turned out great. He expects me to get rid of the shoulder pain, migraines and 70 % of the pain and stiffness. I hope so.  :2thumbs:  I'm sore , feels like I have a really bad sore throat too.   :eek2:  I'm gonna take some pain meds and try to sleep. Since I didn't get any sleep in the hospital. I'll be off work 6-8 weeks. Thanks again.

Jacki please remember the "log roll" is your friend. I'm deeply relieved your surgery turned out on a decidely positive note. Any neck/spine surgery is a crap shoot at best. Sounds like you'll be up and taking names in no time! You've beat the odds, now stay outta the bar fights! hahahah

Don't forget to tell Mr. Skip68 that you won't be able to lift anything heavier than a pencil during your recovery, so he'll have to cook dinner.

I'm getting there.  :2thumbs: The neck collar is the most miserable thing. No way to get comfortable.  :2thumbs: Thanks for the log roll suggestion.  :2thumbs:   Pain meds made me sick. But it's not that bad. I go back to the doc's on thurs.

Hey Jacki,

Good to hear things are healing and you're getting better. They really beat that whole "log roll" thing into me before I even left the hospital. Made me practice it until they were confident I could get outta bed without undoing their handy work.
They were correct......................imagine that!
Neck collars are not meant to be comfortable, they are a fashion statement! As my wife is fond of saying: Accessorize baby accessorize!!!  :icon_smile_big:

I wore what they call a turtle shell for almost 4 months.  I know zackly how you feel.  When I got that sucker off I couldn't get into the shower quick enough.  I ran out the hot water, 4 months of no showering will do that to a person.   ;)

71ChallengeHer

I went to the Doc's today. 4 more weeks in the neck collar.  :eek2:  On the plus side , I haven't had a migraine since the I had surgery. I had a bone spur that was pinching nerves.  My doc said.  :2thumbs:
