Hi Guys,

Which side is the correct exit for the lower hose on the water pump housing? Its a 70 440 B Body RR. I have 2 housings - one for right (pas) and one for left (dr) and want to use the correct looking one. If all goes as I hope I may be able to bolt mine up this weekend.

Thanks

driver side is 73 and lates, passenger side is 72 and earliers.

That will set the steering pump too, higher on earliers lower on laters, using a bolt provision into block for lates

Nacho, now I'm confused I have a 72 Charger, with a 74 440, the WPH is on the Drivers side...does this mean I have the wrong WPH?

Nacho-RT74

The correct CAR setup will be driver side WPH, so the matching driver side lower outlet radiator AND higher location steering pump, just attached between front and rear brackets with WPH.

Now, the 74 440 should get passenger side WPH, and block must get a provision threated hole to the lower location of steering pump. This steering pump only attachs to WPH with bracket IN FRONT OF the WPH, and a nut on the bolt end. Then another LONG bolt lower, bolting into the block. This steering pump assembly, pivots at this bolt.

So, you have the right WPH for the car, but not to the block ;)
