Hi from Australia.

Anyway got a question about my Dads 69 Charger and hope to shed some light on it. He's owned it for around 33years and just noticed when my brother went to look a 68 Charger to buy his bumperettes are different on the front. We've looked through numerous pictures and can't find anything like it.

We were thinking it might be something to do with it being an export car?

Anyhelp, thanks in advance... Adam

Mid-year 1969 Chargers got the higher bumperettes.  I think it was on cars built after Jan 1st, 1969.

I think the headrests also became mandatory at that time.

BTW '68s did not come with the taller guards they were a late '69 addition only. some folks like to eliminate them entirely...

Welcome!  :icon_smile_wink:

This is a 2 owner car (as far as we are aware) and had a black top untill a few years ago. From the Central Queensland area.

Yes, Mid year 69 they updated them. My 70 even has different ones yet. Mine have a black rubber strip on them too. I have seen you could get 70's with or without the strip.
