Dry day in Northern Cali, took the '68 to pick up my daughter from school -video

It finally stopped raining for a few days, so I uncovered the '68, rinsed it off, bundled the dogs in and recorded a few minutes of video (with a favorite song) of my trip. My daughter was excited that I took the Charger to school, and told one of her girl friends, in front of me, that it was so cool ( :coolgleamA:) to have a Dad with a cool car. Her friend agreed. Remember she is 10. At the end of the vid, after I chirped the tires, she laughed for a while and exclaimed "THAT was FUN!"   It sure made me smile.  ;)

Remember she is 10.

Ahh, to be 10 again! She and her friends are wise beyond their years. :2thumbs:

What do the dogs think of you and George?  :icon_smile_wink:

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.  ;)  But I'm sure you will enlighten me.

I took that to mean that your dogs went travelling with you. Or is that some code words I don't get?

And you had George playing on the radio. Did I miss something?  :shruggy:

George Thorogood! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7VsoxT_FUY  My apologies. I guess that was just a bit too subtle for me (this evening, at least). I was thinking more in line with the Father of our country. I need to get more sleep.  :P

The dogs love any car ride, and with the Charger I roll all the windows down so they each get an open back window to stick their heads out. I actually added Thorogood's iconic song to the video later. I do like it.

Yep, I know that area too. I lived in the city to your immediate south 20 years ago (glad I don't live there anymore). Loved her little giggles and there is no sound like a 4 speed Charger! It's dry up here as well and I'm taking the Q5 monster out for a spin before weeks' end.
Dan, have you gone north for the mid peninsula El Cam cruise? A buddy of mine has gone a couple times and says its good people and fun cruising. Now that our car is done we're looking forward to going soon. Its organised by Mid Peninsula Chevy's. I believe. Anyway, fun vid. Thanks

Your computer security is probably blocking the download of QuickTime, the program needed to run the video. Try again and look for a yellow bar at the top of the screen asking you if you want to install the software.

Or maybe not. :shruggy:

Thanks!  :2thumbs: You should come up and we can grab some more hill climbing thigh building action Dan... To hell with the housewives of N.J. I wanna see "Gearheads of California". I liked how that teensy tiny chirp got a giggle from your kid... Ha Ha!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzkw6PjrOqU
:scratchchin: Maybe time to plan another cruise Perhaps? Today's clear and awesome!  :icon_smile_wink:

Dans 68

I know well and good there would not be any "teensy tiny chirps" if we were to climb those hills. Do we need a permit to lay rubber over asphalt in the City?   :icon_smile_wink:

Another Cruise is always good. Are you doing Vegas/MATS with me this year?  :scratchchin:

I suggest we round up the posse and go catch us some seat time.  :icon_smile_wink:

  So,.. who's that driving?..

Are you serious? How is your short-term memory?   Or memory at all?  :slap:  That is me. And then puppy Weiss.

"Posse" suggests we are chasing someone...I'm guessing that would be you pulling a Bullit on the streets of San Francisco?

Lets do a cruise around the City - Wharf, Tenderloin, North Beach, Cliffhouse, Golden Gate Bridge & park, Marina, Broadway ( :D)  etc. I'll record our exploits and post the results for our snowbound friends.

Hey!

Let me know when you guys are planning this little tour and maybe I can break out the purple beast for a while.

Ok:  lettuce start by soliciting requests for a suitable date.. I'd suggest a couple Mos. from now myself, I know I have a guitar gig on May 7th. that's all I can think of that's a conflict... we need the word to get out and folks to weigh in...
perhaps another late lunch at Nick's?..  :shruggy:

That set up will work great on the back window. Get some nice shots of burnouts and then some jumps, twisty roads too.

Talk about giggles.  :drive:
