Ok. Ive heard this rumor more then once. The 68 to 70 B body front disc brake Upper A amrs are different then drum brake. what the heck is so different?

You've been mislead the 66-72 B body arms as well as the 70-74 E body arms are all the same, and interchangable, disc, drum, 4 door, 2 dr, wagom, etc,

I agree with what Mike said,
but if your changing drum brakes over to disc and have 68-69 lower control arms with sway bar mounts. Then you have to use 70 up lowers control arms to avoid the caliper from hitting swaybar mounts.

The left and right side a arms are interchangable. If you have them switched the rebound bumper wont hit on the flat spot :Twocents:

Were the 69 disc brake lowers different than the drum brake lowers?  I have a 69 4 piston set up on mine with a factory sway bar.

hemigeno

Lower control arms were the same in 1969 on a Charger, no matter the brake configuration.  Spindles were a different story though...

Or you can buy an aftermarket sway bar or you can swap the spindles side to side so the calipers mount to the rear.

He is thinking of A body UCA's, the ball joint is smaller on some years.  :yesnod:
