My best friend has been trying to sell an Airplane. He has been dealing with a famous Nascar driver who is interested in buying it. My buddy knows I am a big Nascar fan. About 30 minutes ago my cell phone rings with a out of area area code so I ignore it. 5 minutes go by and the same # calls again and this time I answer it. With a deep southern drawl  a voice says is this Wade, I say yes it is  he say Bill Elliott here heard your a fan. Talked to him for a few minutes and  get to meet him when he is in Phoenix for the races. He was a very friendly guy and wished us a Merry Christmas. No wonder they call him Awesome Bill from Dawsonville. Now that's a best friend looking out for his Buddy.

Wow, that is a great story.  Some of these younger NASCAR drivers sure could take a lessen or two from the older drivers.

Just found out he will be here Sunday to pickup his plane. Anyone here ever met him? My brother said he met him and his wife several years ago and they were both really friendly. Looking forward to going and meeting him.

Went and Met Bill today. He was very nice and we took a pic with him and he signed the General. Then we watched him fly off in his new Plane.

thats way cool. I am a big nascar fan. this is why nascar is is the best. every driver i ever met was very nice and talked to everybody they could. even the super stars. never had a bad time at a race. and bill drove a dodge for a while. no9 dodge for ray everham.  NASCAR DRIVERS are the best. i have seen them walk down pit row with a sharpie and sign auotographs for people. have talk to alot of them. NASCAR treats its fan better than any other sport.  nice present  and picture.
