HOW TO Rust repair in 10 pictures

my Daughter came home from college for the holidays and i was going fix a few scuffs she got while away, well i noticed some bubbling on the bottom of the fender and sure enough it was rusted from the inside out dirt had acummalated in the fender probaly from the original owner of the truck since was a farm truck. well i cut out the rust treated the inner part of the fender hand fabbed a patch and butt welded in place primed and painted here it is patch panel repair in 10 pics.

the first four are the initial cut out, patch after welded in place and finish grinding the weld, and skimmed with evercoat.

I can't believe you were able to do such a nice job without the essentials: Duct tape, chicken wire, and newspaper!

if you look closely i did use a few layers of duct tape on the door when i was grinding the weld to keep me from accidently getting into it.
