Hi everyone, I have a metal 71 charger r/t dash emblem I am selling but peaple are telling me they were only made of plastic, does anybody know if this is 100% fact. It is stamped arpra on the back with two sets of #'s 3872708 and 12025/2.  Any help would be great!

Yeap, the dash emblem was plastic, it wasn't metal.....  It was a common emblem of "Charger R/T"...  It's a small image of it, but want you to see what I'm talking about..

HEY NACHO !!!!! Do you have any info on this emblem.. Looks like a number and part from one of your South American Charger R/T's....

Sorry, here in Venezuela all the stuff is the same as USA, so, the dash insert emblem is also plastic. Remember that Only difference between Venezuelan and USA Chargers are the equipment options. Parts made in Venezuela like sidemarkers, Glasses, interior trim ( upper panels, seats, carpet and headliners ), shocks, radiators, springs, wiring etc.. were all made mostly with same cast and USA specifications

BUT is true that in Brazil stuff was different, all made locally by Chrysler of Brazil with different design and parts, licensed by Chrysler USA, and that insert emblem it could be from a Brazilian Charger. I have on my MSN buddies list a guy from Brazil with a Charger and once tried to sell to a board's member from USA. Once we checked pics, definitelly it looks diferent than USA emblems. I didn't like the looks, but...

The r/t emblem is 4 3/4 long and the width is 9/16 at the C  and  5/8 at the / in r/t. I personaly think the metal one looks better than the plastic, but to each his own. Hope this helps.
