10 grand?  "the vin # on the dash seems to be from a 68 charger".   What is this guy thinking?

Looks like the 69 fender tag has the bottom row cut off.  I'm guessing its a real 69 with a 68 vin tag. :shruggy:

Well, if the dash VIN is from a 68 then where'd they get the VIN number for the ad? And what does the title say? Most states won't register a car when the VIN and title don't match (even if it were whole, the fender tag isn't a valid/legal location). Wonder what the door panels are from?

Anybody else think the VIN in the picture isn't the same as the one in the listing; or are my eyes getting that bad?

My eyes are probably just as bad and is really hard to tell, but it looks like his stated vin, the vin on the dash and the fender tag are all 3 different. :rotz: :-\

Also appears to be a 68 cluster in it.  Maybe a dash swap sometime in it's life for whatever reason and never worried about changing vins?  who knows..

Troy

There is no VIN on the fender tag - the bottom line is cut off (as mentioned above). The VIN in the ad (1969) is definitely not the same as the VIN tag in the picture (1968). That's why I asked where they got the VIN in the ad.

i would assume that the title had the right vin# on it since he stated that the vin in the windshield was from a 68. wonder if its a stolen car redone, or a 69 that they changed the dash on and didnt change the vin tag :shruggy:

He might have gotten the last 8 of the VIN from the rad support or trunk lip.

The VIN he posted "could" jive because I have 159941 registered.  Has the same SPD of 11/4/68 and the same odd ball "709xxx" S/O #

Looks like it was an F8 green SE car....

Car is coded for A/C as well & looks like it has the A/C hot water valve on the firewall :Twocents:
