Yep.........bought me a race car.


I used to race on line quit a bit, but they went to the new game (nascar 2003) and my PC would not handle it. New PC next week............I already have my ride waiting and painted in my old colors! (thx Nunya!)

If you've never had the chance to race online your missing alot of fun! Much different racing against real people than computer cars.....far more real.

It's a PC game..............and a good connection is a must (dsl cable) there are few who race on dial up, but your car and those around you tend to warp (disappear!) while racing....not good at 200 mph and 3 feet apart!

Thats a link to Nascar 2003...............they use to sell them at wal-mart, target etc...........probably get them on ebay and else where.

I bought that game years ago, but never picked up the expansion package to get the winged cars. Does it include the C 500? or just  the Daytona, Superbird, Talladega, and Cyclone Spoilers.

When you race on the shorter tracks the Mopars are wingless and noseless. They use the same body though between speedways/short tracks as fas as the rear window goes (flush), but it has a reccessed grill unlike the c500's. I've not acutally raced on this sim yet, my current pc lacks the required horsepower!

I have that game for my PC and it's called "NASCAR Legends". It's based on the 1970 NASCAR Winston Cup season, and it's far better in my book, than all the current previous new seasons.

I've seen the Legends one before, but its not the same game they are talking about. The legends cars is the 1970 season, but the cars stances just don't look right to me.

Yeah, they did sit high in Legends. There was a add-on that lowered the cars though, looked alot better! They also came out with a sound expansion.................sounded more like a big block......nice rumble instead of a whiney sound.

I gave up on the online racing scene after Motor City Online went south for no good reason at all.

Pay $35US for the game that won't play at all unless you hook up to the online service which charges $9.99US a month.
Then they yank it because they feel the community is not grwoing as they expected or some crap like that. Then they replace it with a Need for Speed spin off and ask you to buy the new game and sign up again.. PFFTTT!

Give me the server software so I can run my own server and I'll think about getting back into it.

I even bought a steering wheel for the PC that no longer gets used. I haven't found a decent game to use it with..

Now a server is rented tho by the month for our league races, money is donated as you see fit.

For fun runs just log in and host a race if you don't want to join one. Zero bucks for that.

Trying to remember really....................my daughter was born on the 19th so I think thats where it came from. Been racing online for years...memory is fading like my tires! (Not a Mayfield fan.....lol). Most of the guys where running to much tape and blew their engines. At each pit stop I removed a little tape each time and saved mine from hand grenading. The sim desginers used the car dynamics from the Craftsman truck series.........which uses tape. The old cars didn't use tape but it was left in the game.

Lost it. .........got loose coming out of the turn and touch the wall.

My tires were almost gone at that point and in my last pit stop I took fuel only.........was trying to gain track position and paid the price.

But I had fun though!

Whoooohooooo!

I won the 60 laps at Daytona 1970! After months of racing I finally pulled off a win against those Chevys and Fords.

Had a great setup and avoided most of the wrecks. I got spun once but it didn't hurt the car! Kept it off the wall and battled back for the win.

I think the ghost of Bobby Isaac was with me tonight!
