If it was a 68-70, I would have posted it AFTER I bought it.  :yesnod:

Here's one in triple black in 1:18 scale...

I've always like triple black anything!

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have the triple back third gen., if I had the money and room.  But, we all know a 2nd gen. with those options, at that price, would be insane!

Too bad none of those "insane" second gens ever came optioned with a 440 six pack and four speed until 1970.  :shruggy:

Sorry - just being a punk!

I think we can all agree it's better than the 2006-2011 Chagnum.

That's ok, 70 is the best year right!  ;) (That's what I have, just not a 440 six-pack, I wish)

...and No, I am not trying to open up that debate.

I hear ya!

It'd be a sharp-looking 1970 and a sharp-looking 1971.

So the 'brand new' 71 charger RTs introduced, and 1 of 48? black on black w/black 4-speeds are ordered?

Good question. I have no clue on the production numbers. Seems like it would be popular from what people like now, but back then, I would say colors were in.  But, that is why I added the "claims to be rare".

Per 71 Superbee.com, Dodge made about 2,650 Charger RTs in 1971 . . . Can't find a breakdown of how many autos and how many manuals - I assume auto is more common.

Can't find how many by color, either.

So I can't vouch for the 1 of 48 stuff - it could very well be, it could very well not be. It's the first one like it I've seen in quite a while, if ever.

Hell I just figured out it's not a V code car with a six pack.  :P Duh. Gotta start paying better attention! Guess I was just dreamin', cause that would have been sweet. I still like it. If I had any money to play with and didn't already have a 1971 Charger with a 440, I'd definitely at least try and go check it out.

Love that model posted earlier!!!  :drool5:

so 332 440/4 speeds and this ones triple black.  the 1 of 48 comes from the total 3118 RT production?   this cars a little over an hour from me.  if anyones interested in it enough i'd be willing to go check it out & take pictures.
