Hi, new to the board and I have the daytona that was on Musclecarfinders and I need a steel valance panel. Would also like to get a drivers side headlight door and a rubber seal kit.  Who can I contact?  Tom

Welcome new member. You will get alot of help from this Forum. It answered a lot of questions for me. Sorry I have no parts to offer but others will reply. Include some pics of your project on further posts, Good luck Rob.

The steel valance might be available for
http://www.wingcarfab.com/ .The headlight door bare with no pivot brackets should be available from Dayclona or Ted Janak Gene Gregory Don Currie  Eric Nelson. This old post shows your R4 car on page 2 towards the bottom of page .Before the black primer. As far as nose seals you have the 2 for nose to fender .And a seal kit for inside the nose rad support and kframe

The only repop steel valance available that would be caliber for a real Daytona is a Dayclona one. IMHO. I had Mike Goyette (Dayclona) make the ends formy steel valance after I got it from another supplier and I can tell you that his part will be top notch.

Thanks for the responses so far. I have heard about Dayclonas parts, but can never seem to get in touch. I have left some emails and messages. Does anyone have a suggestion to contact Mike or have him contact me?  Thanks Tom

A few weeks ago, I sent Mike a PM on Moparts on behalf of Tom who is the original poster here.   For whatever reason, neither of us got a response.   Tom is not real computer savvy, but when he called back, I suggested he try here, since Mike has been posting here also.

Mike seems like a nice enough guy but I grew tired of trying to get in touch with him and bought elsewhere.  :brickwall:  :shruggy:
wingless now, but still around.

Tom, there is a real NOS Daytona valance available.  Not cheap at $3800 but it is minty mint and guaranteed NOS.  It has the galvanized finish like it should.   I realize it might be outside your price range, but if you are interested, I will put you in touch with the seller who is very reputable.

I could make a steel valance for about a 1/4 of that..if I had a correct template.

I would love to get NOS pieces, but I don't believe my car is "pristine" enough to warrant a NOS piece. plus that is a bit pricey for me right now. Most of the sheet metal is being replaced with AMD metal to do it right, but I guess since the car is losing alot of it's originality, why get a NOS piece.  Some may think that thinking is crazy, but I guess I'll put it this way.  I got divorced a few years ago, and have a nice house near the beach, so I'm elated that I actually have a real daytona on top of that even if it's never going to be "all original".  I'm just happy ot have one, be even happier if I can get a steel valance in my budget, $1000-1750.  I was incorrect in my first post, I need a passengers side headlight door.  I do have an extra drivers side headlight door in nice shape that I would be interested in trading for a passengers side.

just a side note.

Should you come up with a headlight door without doing a  trade,,, I know someone who (should he keep the car he has)  may be interested in buying the spare drivers side door if your so inclinded

Thanks for all the responses so far.  Don't have any new pics at his time, still in the epoxy primer. Going to the body shop in a few weeks. I'll post a few pic of the progress once I get some.  Still hung up on the valance though.  Did try calling Mike Goyette, and left a message but did not hear back yet.  I never done business with him and I'm ready to buy what I need, so I hope for a return call. If not, guess I'll give my money to someone else.   I keep the offer in mind on the drivers headlight door.  If anyone has any advice on my car, please feel free to call me. (716)549-1756  Tom
