In IMAX and 3-D and it was really very good...  :yesnod: ok -  Excellent!

I'd rate as good as the remake of Star Trek which I thought was worth seeing twice...

great to see in three 3_D and IMAX. I recommend it!  :2thumbs:

I saw the original Tron back in the '70s when it came out, but I don't really remember much about it other then I liked it. I would have to find to original first, and watch it before seeing the new one.

I thought it was good, not great, but not bad, the effects where outstanding, storyline followed true to what was expected. a big thumbs up. It was exactly what I had expected.

I think the new ST was better though, im in love with the new Enterprise ;-)

First Tron was 1982  :slap:

Tron: Legacy really was good. Just so you don't walk out the theater with a WTF on your face they left alot of room for upcoming cartoon series and planned sequel movies.

Was thinking about seeing Tron . Whats the difference between Imax 3d and Disney 3d? They show it in both .

Grim Jhaixus

Disney 3-D is fuzzy on a standard screen. I-MAX 3-D is fuzzy on an enlarged screen that bends inwards somewhat.

No, it wasn't the greatest thing ever. But after Transformers, Transformers 2, G.I.Joe, Expendables it was nice to enjoy a movie at the theater.

Oh- BLACK SWAN. OMFG great movie. Yeah, it's ballet, but this movie is not for the wife and girlfriend. It's an almost sadistic psychological thriller. You might lose man points for going to see a ballet movie, but you get them back with interest. Mila Kunis + Natalie Portman + mood altering drugs = your date will be alittle disgusted for suggesting this one.

Yeah, probably will go and check it out this summer, sounds good. I got a new Nokia N8 phone about 6 weeks ago and it had the trailer & interviews loaded on it, pretty impressive graphics.
Man that Disney/nokia tie-in must have cost heaps

He's right. Star Trek 2009 was canon, and wasn't remotely similar to any of the previous movies. Tron Legacy was pretty good though.

I liked it ok but as with the old one I got kind of sick of the neon everywhere. And like the old one the motorcycles were cool. I don't know, when it comes to sci-fi I prefer the dark/gloomy space battle type stuff. BSG, new Star Trek, etc.

Yes, Aliens is probably my fav sci-fi move.

Was supposed to go see it in IMAX on Tuesday but we had to cancel for a variety of reasons.  :flame:  We have rescheduled to go after xmas. It's about a 1 and half hour drive to the IMAX theater so on a whim don't work so well.  :P  Can't wait!  :popcrn:

Aliens is freaking awesome!  :scared: and is one of my all time favorites too. It freaks me out every time I watch it even though I already know what is going to happen.  :yesnod:

Saw it today. The effects were great. It was Jeff Bridges day today for our family. Saw True Grit and Tron:Legacy today. He sure is back in the limelight since Crazy Heart. :2thumbs:

So how did they do the young Jeff Bridges? CGI his face or what?

Yup, nevermind: http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/movie-talk-tron-legacy-comic-con-trailer.html

I thought something about his mouth looked goofy, like they couldn't quite match the dialogue with the lips. I'm half deaf anyway so I do a lot of subconscience lipreading.

So am I.  I do a lot of lipreading as well, and so I thought the CGI part was fairly egregious.

However, I did think the movie was very good.  Great effects, and I think it's a thinking man's movie which, unfortunately, didn't quite dig deep enough, but quite enough to be provactive.  Don't ignore the utopia angle.
