Well, school is out and I got some time, so I started ripping into the Charger. Basically I just want to get the engine and tranny pulled and clean out the engine bay because it needs some attention.  I got the radiator pulled and am working on getting rid of the cluster of wires. Not sure what I am going to do with the car just yet, but I got several ideas floating around in my head :)  Unfortunately my reserve unit is supposed to get activated in January, so I might have to put the project on hold for a while. That will give me a chance to save up some money for parts though.

Here are some pics.

Looks like a great project! :2thumbs:

I know how you feel! I ripped mine apart, front clip and all about three years ago and there it sits. I will get around to it, but life gets in the way, ie. House, Marriage, College, and now building a new house :o But at least with the new house I may be able to bring the car home from my parents barn where it is easier to work on it.

Good luck and I wish you the best! ;)

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't fix your brakes, but don't worry I made your horn louder."

Looks like a good starting point for sure. Make sure you stash all your stuff in a place where you'll be able to find it when you get back. :icon_smile_big:

Is your car originally white or gold? Can't tell on my POS work monitor. :-\

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Hey Mike

Nice to hear from you again. Looks like you have a good start on the Charger...one step at a time is what it takes to get there. If your unit goes active does that mean you wil be going overseas?

Remember that one step at a time statement in the future when you look around and see nothing but piles of parts everywhere.  It's easy to get discouraged but if you hang on to your Journey analogy, you'll get there.  If not, there's never a shortage of encouragement here.

Hey Ty,

Yeah, I am  scheduled to be deployed on January15th. Will be going to California for 6 weeks and then overseas.  It isn't totally 100% for sure that we are going since I haven't received orders yet, but it is pretty much a sure thing since they told me to plan on leaving on the 15th.  Charger projects will be put on hold for a little while.

Hey,    Nice project there.  You have to start somewhere so good luck with it.  Oh yeah,   You dont have to but i'd recommend taking the grille out.   Hate to see an accident happen and the engine fall on her when pulling it out.     But thats just me.         P.S. love the cow bells
