OK, some new questions;
I have a block from a 71 New Yorker, it has the big rods, steel crank and flat-top pistons that are .100 in the hole at TDC.

It had 906 open chamber heads.

On the boss, G440, 1 19 HPA
Block casting #s 10-22-70 and 2536430-70 and 27143 on the pan mating surface.
The other stencilled #s on the lower boss near the pan are illegible. I'm assuming this was a 370 horse Chrysler with these components.

What was the comp. ratio with the pistons so far in the hole?? Can't be 10.0:1 can it?

Thanks Joe Latessa   :scratchchin:

Advertised CR for the HP was 9.7, count on it actually being a half point lower. The 906 heads aren't original to a '71, it would have had the 346 but the chamber size is about the same.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

if the pistons are 0.100" in the hole, it is 9:1 or a little less.
