So,   I got into installing my tach today and decided to take things a step further.   Considering the interior of my Charger was never restored it could use a little t.l.c. to match the rest of the cars perfection.   I pulled the column to paint it as well as it's a little scratched up around the key area.  I have a few questions.

1-Is there anyone that rebuilds factory dimemr switches for my '70?  Mine only works on the highest area it it looks like it got pretty hot at one point.

2-Is there a company that will refurbish the woodgrain panel that surrounds the gauges.   It appears the gauges have a chrome ring around them and the switches have silver paint around them.   Mines in great shape but I'd like to make it perfect without replacing the factory wood grain finish

3-Does anyone make stencils or silk screens for the heater control knobs?  The on/off on mine is pretty worn but the others look great.

4-The original owner had a cb radio mounted in the car and he drilled some holes in the lower dash cover that goes from the right side of the column over around the ash tray.   Is there a company out there that I can send this piece to and they will fix the holes in the plastic.   I'd hate to replace it because the chance of finding a non ac piece in brown is next to impossible.   Plus i don't want to die every piece of plastic since I'm trying to keep the original look wit some patina.

-Let me know guys and thanks again for your help.   Bill

Devin Duke restored the dimmer switch in my '68 Coronet R/T earlier this year.  The cost was $95.  You can contact him at devinism@netscape.com

Dave Patik from www.performancecargraphics.com can restore your woodgrain as well as the heater control screen printing.

IIRC someone was reproducing the dimmer switches....

This is the repro

Thanks guys.   I'm going to try to get mine repaired first.  It's original so I may as well just keep it.  I'm still trying to figue out what I want to do with the wood grain.   It's in such great shape I'd hate to get it completely redone but I do have a few scratches on it from it being 40 years old.  I might just try to touch it up with some model paint and blend it in in the same fashion as the wood grain.   I'll let you know how it goes.

Let me know how that plastic welder goes, I might endup doing the same thing.   I got about 8 holes to fill all together.   Thanks again
