I think this will be considered "truck porn" to Todd.

Nice!
Must be a bit of a shock to your system after driving the new one then jumping in big red.

I should have bought a New Dodge truck when they offered the "lifetime" power train deal. :brickwall:
I am hoping the Government will offer 4K again for any vehicle that's traded in.

Geno,

That is a great truck.  Is that the Mega Cab?  It looks like it is, but they use to say Mega Cab behind the back window, so I was not sure.  Anything you do not like about it?  I will be looking for a new truck next summer, and have really been leaning towards a F-350.

Thanks! And yes, it is a MegaCab.  There are VERY few things I do not like.  About the only thing that comes to mind (and it's petty, I know) is that the door detents don't hold either the front or rear doors in place as securely as I'd like.  They try to close up on you when you're putting stuff away unless you hold them perfectly still before turning loose.  I haven't ran it back to the dealership to have them tweak on anything yet, although today it's going back for initial oil change, etc.  We just put 2,000 miles on it this past weekend (it now has 7,000 total), and it handles/rides fantastic even in some pretty brutal winter road conditions.  The interior is very comfortable, and the ventilated seats will be awesome this summer - they were great during this fall's warm weather anyway.

I had a 2007 MC optioned out very similar to this one until Sept. '09, and really got used to having all that rear compartment space.  They've made some pretty cool improvements since '07 (touchscreen Nav gets :2thumbs: ), and I like the restyled looks a whole lot.  My 12 year old son Jonathan has nicknamed the truck "Gizmo" because of all the bells and whistles it has.

Overall, we like it a lot.

Thanks, Brian - and you're right... one truck has ALL the creature comforts, and the other is, well, just a creature.

Quality is job none.  :smilielol:
I have a 03 Jeep wrangler and it already looks like a rust bucket...WTF, is going wrong at the plant with quality parts that are prone to rust.

A better question is Whay the F**k doesn't anybody in the northern states (that put down road salt like crazy with the 20 Feet of snow they get every year), get their vehicles undercoated?

We see more and more of this coming from New England states...Good golly they are rusted all to hell...

Being a Rebel that was imprisoned in the north for 59 years I would say that most cars were considered throwaways  and no one gave a damn, besides it gives them something to bitch about.  Rust proofing got a bad name because of the lowest paid guy in the shop did most of it and could have cared less what got covered.  There were a few places that did (New Hampshire) rust proofing which was to spray the underside of a car with drain oil which was the best thing in my opinion because oil crawls into every seam where rust starts.  I take an oil squirt gun and soak all the seams  and inside the unibody frame rails.  The EPA took care of the drain oil situation so that stopped.  Also the most people who aren't into old cars wouldn't think of getting their hands dirty.

My 67 is a Pennsylvania car orignally.  It had SO much undercoating on the under side, I thought it would never rust.  In fact when we replaced the floor pans there was an inch or more on some spots.
Then when we redid the interior and I pulled out the carpeting, I put my knee through the passenger side floor.  It didn't rust from underneath, it rusted from the inside out.  The carpets must have gotten so wet and then stayed wet for a while.
And it doesn't take long, one small spot of bare or slightly covered metal and there you have it.
So, I guess I was just commenting on the fact that it is not just the salt.  But it's a catch 22 ... don't throw it and drive on slippery conditions for 5 months - or salt and be able to drive in the winter.  Where I am, we already have almost 78 inches of snow, and it's not even Christmas.
If they didn't use salt, we'd be going nowhere all winter.  I don't like it but you live with it if you live here.
