Another flat black question

Hey Gang,

Quick question here regarding flat finishes.  I have another car (not a mopar, unfortunatley  :rotz: ) that I put a quick BC/CC paint job on last year.  I'm about to get the car on the road later this month and the wheels are turning.  I cut down the clear a tad and buffed some after I painted it, but nothing crazy as I knew I'd be redoing it at a later point anyway.  So, the new plan for the rod is to have a flat black/white finish, dark blue interior, and keep the 17" gray TT style wheels and alternating with dark blue rims and 3" whitewalls.  So the question on obtaining a flat finish.  Can I just maybe block the car down with 2000 or so then shoot some more clear with a flat agent added for a satin sheen?  Would that work with the current finish on there or do I need to reshoot the base and then the flattended clear on top of that? :scratchchin:

Oh, and future plans call for putting a 392 or 5.7 in it! :2thumbs:

Cheers

yeah that will work !!  could do a few sprayouts with different percentages of matting additive ! to see what effect you want !!   if your using HS lacquer your going to need double the the amount or more to  achieve the same effect as in MS  :yesnod:
