That's a sweet looking color on a charger.  :drool5:

I can't imagine that was a common color. Of all the car's I have looked at not one was originally A4.

Crazy, but there's several of them up here.  Here's 3 of them & I know there's at least another one.  He's a member here too.  Sorry, they're all vinyl top cars' too, not what you asked for.

One factor in the rarity was that it was an extra cost for silver at that time.  Not a lot more but still, unless it was a color you really wanted why pay for it when other choices were available.

Any idea why? I recall in the early 40s you could only buy battleship gray paint for obvious reasons... I will always remember my mom's gray and white doll house at my grandparents.

I'd have to check for 69 but in 68 the silver was the only "buffed" color so there was an additional charge.

Hi,

I had a 69 Hemi Charger RT in A4 silver, no v-roof, stripe delete.
But at the time I bought it, it had already a colour change. So I can't forward you any pics of how it looked a like. Car is currently flat black and for sale in the nethelands

Carsten

69 OUR/TEA
