On this day 67 years ago, the world was blessed with the birth of what would become a great resource of mopar knowledge.

John started his life as just another small town boy but quickly became famous for inventing the first steam engine by the age of 12.
He then set his goals on making the first horseless buggy at the age of 17.

After a few years, he once again set his sights on making a flying machine.
This made him enough money to retire at the age of 23....
After several years of retirement John became bored and once again set out to change the world.  He was now 27 and this would be his biggest achievement. --- John Kunkel Whisky ---   This was good stuff and it helped in landing him a wife. However, prohibition shut him down....
Now at the ripe old age of 32, a wife and 14 children, (i think around 1935) John did the impossible...   He became the first man to invent the automatic transmission.   This would take care of his family for life.

So there you have it, the story of a man and a legend, John Kunkel...   Although his claims of being in his 60's may seem legit,  it is still a mystery as to his real age.     Some say they can place him in the civil war and others say he was to young back then.
I say--- HAPPY BIRTHDAY John, even if you are over 200.......

P.S.  This story might be a bit inaccurate  as to the lack of facts I had to go on...

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Many thanks, I wish most of that bio was true but.....

I celebrate another anniversary today, 20 years ago today I retired (at the tender age of 47) from my career as a civilian aircraft mechanic with the USAF. I sure miss the action but not the "system".
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
