We've Got a Bunch of Pics of KW Shepard's '64 With The Aluminum 426 Gen III HERE!

This ultra clean '64, powered by the aforementioned 426 HEMI sports a Mopar cold air intake, billet throttle body, billet fuel rails, and starter under the hood, and is controlled by Mopar's Programmable Controller. The power is transferred through a aluminum-cased 3-speed automatic TorqueFlite to a Sure Grip differential with 3.73 gears and a Mopar center section.

I hope to see that thing on Power Tour next year!  That's awesome.

They are doing a pretty effective job of trashing it over on moparts.  seems like they are not fans of the car... or his music.  I jumped in like an idiot so I'm sure I'm next on the getting trashed list lol

I read that thread. It keeps reminding me why I'm here. Camaraderie here, superiority complex there.

If a certain part of their anatomy was as stiff as their necks, they wouldn't be on the computer bitching as much.

I think this car is COOL!

I think the car from what I see is great. I would love to own it. Some people are just jelous. If it is yours do it the way it makes you happy.

Ghoste

Didn't Kenny already post some pics of the car here?  In any case I don't understand what there is to trash about it, it looks like a pretty nice car to me.

I spent just enough time on Moparts to see that it's no place for me to participate...I go there to research. Not my cuppa, and I'm dead certain I'm not theirs.

And it's unfortunate because that handful of holiers than all drive away a lot of people from that site and there is a tremendous amount of knowledge there.

Very nice 64  :drool5: Thanks for posting the link Kevin  :2thumbs:

As for the comments on Moparts ; I find it amusing that one guy trashing this car has a PT cruiser and clapped out 12 second drag truck in his sig line. There's a real Mopar authority there

Another idiot has the nerve to call the car's owner a B class musician & the only reason the car was featured was because of his (so called) semi-famous persona. Gimme a freakin break !  :image_294343:

It's no secret that i'm a Hot Rodder at heart and this one is very well done. A mix of modern power and technology with old school visual appeal.  :2thumbs: I'm sure Kenny will have lots of fun driving the car and ocassionaly running it down the track  :icon_smile_cool:

I usually don't respond to these types of threads but the responses on the "other" site got under my skin. These self-annointed experts are too much some times.  :loser:  :2guns:

KWS....keep doing what you're doing  :musik010: :nixon:

If Kenny is a class B musician then I'm about a U or a V.  I don't see what any of it would have to do with the car.  Oh wait, now I get it!  The guy meant B as in a B-body.  That would mean I'm a 440 four barrel or Six Pack.  Too cool, now we can have fun with cars and guitars all on the same site at the same time.

A classic look that has gone technologically besserk!  I love the car, and looks extremely well done as usual. The quality and design of his cars are always top notch if you ask me.  :2thumbs:

I also go to Moparts to research stuff occasionally but never post.  They represent the "B" crowd on mopar forums. :icon_smile_wink:

Wow,.. seems pretty much anytime I post anything a day or two or three or a month later someone else gets wind of it... and posts it again with out adding to the existing thread, then there's another learning curve...  as we go back around the topic yet again... It's this guy Rusty, again publicizing his web site magazine...
in this case...

Never hear from KWS, he's too busy out on the road - I don't know how he ever finds time to turn a wrench..  :shruggy:

It's hard to keep track though Brock, it's the curse of a popular site.  It's better than a site dying from lack of use.

Brock Samson

Usually - when I post I do a search first, just to see if it's been covered, 'n if it has I'll add to the original thread, that keeps things on track without having to reinvent or rehash the wheel.. It's amazing how often the same topics on movie cars or disc brakes are restarted over and over again...

Ghoste

I've done that and turned up a blank only to have it be a retread (sic) but I do understand what you're saying.

Not so off topic however one of the main things that made me admire my husband and his friends is they know a lot about cars...yet they will NEVER say they know it all. I've watched them at shows when they talk to the "average joe" and give solid advise without arrogance. Especially when the folks are looking at them as the "guru's". It is a great site for info and parts however Moparts tends to be very aggressive in nature. It's the same attitude , or lack thereof, that makes me love and enjoy this site so much. The "no knowledge wants to learn" person is treated like gold and encouraged to learn. I love you all for that.

I believe what you said sums up the experience for many of us here on this board. :icon_smile_wink:

I get your joke, but as far as Mopar boards go, moparts is tough to beat.  I don't defend the bashing of the subject car, but every board seems to have its share of "butt picks", including DC.com.   There are always a few posters who won't have much nice to say (unless its their own stuff) or will want to ram their opinion down your throat.    Just the way it is, I guess.
