Haven't I seen these on a Daytona?

Haven't I seen these on a Daytona?

You've probably seen them on at least one of the Magazine road-test Charger 500's (all Hemicars), but I am not sure about any Daytonas - at least from a factory-equipment standpoint.  I am pretty sure the magazine test cars all had W23 "Recall" wheels, and after the recall those cars were apparently retrofitted with steelies and these C-body hubcaps for their road-test-drive duties.  Most other W23 hemicars were refitted with the 1968-style "turbine" wheel covers.  Why they chose the C-body covers for the press cars rather than what most other cars got is anyone's guess.  There probably weren't that many '69 hemicars which had this problem, to be honest.

Those are 15" wheel covers, so they would normally be found on B-bodies only when they were J-code cars.  By the time the Daytonas came around, the only two (non-special-order) Hemi / 15" wheel cover options were hubcaps with body colored wheels, and the 1968-style "turbine" wheel covers.

These are the Charger line hubcaps for 69  http://www.1969chargerregistry.com/gallery/facts/69_Charger0008         .They didnt offer the C Body 15 inch Polara hubcaps as seen on Hemi 500s with W23 wheels that were recalled and substituted with those hubcaps

.But they did have the simulated mag hubs W 18s available on the charger hubcap offerings.Havent seen those on a daytona.But Ive gotten them off 69 Darts

Got a '69 Hemi with 2build sheets found and it came from the factory with the '68 15" turbine wheelcovers. Now mine was made after the 500's  and Daytonas ( my SPD is 314 ) . Back then til now .... I have never seen a R/t , 500 , or a Daytona with that style wheel except in a magazine review of a Hemi 500.

Oficially , the only 15" wheel that I am aware of for 1969 is the black or bodycolor steelie depending on the ordered or supplied hubcap. The recall wheels do not count here.

Nope - These are original to Doc.

The blue Dart has doggies.

My M-Code Dart has these sim mags as well.
