Was the 68-69 Hood depression decal standard? My '68 R/T is black, I wonder if it would have had it?

THANK YOU!

I just ordered a set of these decals and I'm wondering, are they placed with some type of slippery solution so you have time to position them or are they just adhesive backed?

Patronus

I've found the best way for decals is to use its own backing paper torn in pieces and then stuck back on itself, works great to hold on to without fingerprints! Position and then just a tap in the middle and you can pull tight from the ends. Squeegee out, set with a hair-dryer...

That's what I was hoping in order to sit in the car and eyeball their position.  Patronus, I have used that exact method for other decals - thank you! The decal set is cheap at $15 but I want to apply them only once. I suppose at this price if the soap and water method had an adverse effect on the decal adhesive it wouldn't break the bank to buy another set.

the set i had , the backing paper was in two halfs (on each decal )  so !! peel one side off while holding the other side , so you can lign it up !! stick one side then , carefully remove the other side while peeling it back on its self , hard to explain , & roll it on from the centre out wards on the second half !!
