Friends-

Since starting the Kreative Customs thread 11 months ago....I decided to update my progress after getting my car back from Kentucky. Many of you on this site have assisted with parts, etc. I wanted to say thanks....and show the progress as many of you seem to enjoy pics. While the legal process with Kreative Customs is ongoing, I wanted to focus on what the site is about...good people and good cars.

Having said that, many of you will be able to pick out problem areas with the car. Please remember this car was sent off and some good work was done, and some very poor work was done. I had to focus on what I could do to not give up after being put through a very difficult time. I tried to locate parts and put this together as best I could for being a first time restorer working with what I had - and after having to replace so much the budget has been very tough to deal with. But I have not quit!!

Here is a photo of the car heading to get the dual exhaust and correct tips. I had yet to put on marker lights, rear stripe, and wheel chrome. Since putting on exhaust, the motor has been broken in...not on the road yet as I am struggling to install cluster, heater controls (with a/c), and the other misc dash items. The car has had new driver floor, both full rear quarters, complete trunk and rear valence replaced.

When I got the car back it had no interior...and a non rebuilt 1978 440 (they sold off my original 383 along with everything listed in the original post). I will update all of the things I have done with additional pics. TRY to go easy on me...  :icon_smile_blackeye:

The car is an original B5 blue, white top, 383 auto car. It has a/c and am 8 track (3 speaker front dash) and B7 interior with buddy seat....I have added the r/t clone items - tic toc tac, rebuilt 440 (1967 W 915 heads), r/t insignia and stripe (coming soon).

Those of you who have assisted, and you know who you are, thanks so much....I am in the home stretch.

Here is the 440...as you can see I was struggling to locate all the a/c lines. All the props here go to Cory Jenkins at CJ Auto in Bountiful, Utah. He helped me rebuild and assemble this motor.

The interior was shot when I got it back....I wont even get into what was used for my door panels. They had installed white headliner, the rear seat was covered (unknown with what) in white. They had installed home made door panels. I had to relocate alot to get the interior done!

The first shot is the new headliner (all the interior is legendary) and the shoulder belt....all the props go to Brent Day in West Bountiful, Utah. He helped install headliner, re do black elastic on shoulder belts, he cleaned and polished belts, installed the carpet, we re covered the seats and cleaned and repainted the tracks, etc. He loves Mopars and I would have been lost without him.

The second, gives you an idea what the seat covers, door panels, new chrome bases look like installed.

All the legendary items, headliner, carpet, door panels....and seat covers were awesome!

Nice! Are the back armrest installed correctly? Isn't the ashtray supposed to be on the window crank side? :scratchchin:

See...I figured you all would keep me straight on this! I have seen them both ways...a switcheroo is not a problem! Again, the help and feedback is appreciated! Picked up some more wiring today...need to get ignition light, glove box light and map light tied in....then heater/ac....then radio!

Any opinions on tail stripe..... Phoenix graphics or any others preferred?
