What's the difference between these dash medallions??

I've noticed two different medallions that go on a 68 dash  the 'target' type one and the triangular 'dodge symbol' - What dictated which car got what medallion?? Was it a random thing - did RT's or BB/HP cars get a particular type. Anyone know??

Yes the 68 Charger either got the triangle or the bullseye, it seems to be completely random as to who got what.
The 68 Coronet R/T got the R/T emblem that I am still looking for.....Hi Chris.
