They should be giving DC.com a plug because the article was written from text from this forum.

It's nice to see our little piece of cyberspace recognized elsewhere on the internet. Without Troys Leadership and Guidance none of this would be possible.  ;)

Hey all,

I'm glad you enjoyed the article. Being a member here for nearly a decade, when I saw Ron's story here, I knew it'd be a great article for StreetLegalTV.com (published HERE). It was hugely popular here, so I had it cross-posted to our sister publication Dragzine.com.

I want to thank you all who participated in the original thread and made this article possible. A great vote of gratitude to the DodgeCharger.com community!

Sincerely,
Kevin

Very cool. I hope you get another chance to run on that show. I know how frustrating it can be to know your potential yet run into problems that prevent the chance to prove it. Kinda sounds like daily life.

Curtis....it appears that Pinks is done but hopefully Speedvision will bring something similar back in the not so distant future  :engel016:

There is a LOT left on the table & I just have to tune and tweak it. Life circumstances created a short deadline so there was no time to test & tune before the event. This summer i'll have more time to play around with it and work on all the deficiencies. It should be a mid 10 second car once all the bugs are worked out.  ;)

At some point i'd like to try Hot Rod's Drag Week event and have some fun. It won't win but it would be somewhat respectable. The car is reliable enough to race and drive 1200 miles in a week.  :icon_smile_big:

Very cool article.  Sucks about all the set backs though.  Congrats Ron, car looks great!  What's been your best run so far?

Thanks Mike ! The best ET so far is 11.01 shutting down at 1000ft. Best MPH is 123 & best 60ft is 1.55 seconds....none of those on the same pass

I was having trans issues so it needs to come out this winter....line pressure is low below 2500. That makes sense because my best 60 ft time was when i launched at 2500 (1.55) as I normally launch off idle and those were in the 1.6  range. Traction is a huge issue and this thing just wants to blow the tires off at launch....need work there !  :P I was also having fuel delivery problems....someone forgot to top off the gas tank.  :icon_smile_blackeye: :slap:
