Ok not a Charger but an 02 Ram 1500.
From what I see on the internet the clutch pack retainer clips are a common problem. Found a piece of one loose in the housing. I need to save this rear end before anything drastic happens. Any one replace these before?? Have knowlege of the procedure?? My experience on rear ends ends at spyder gears. I dont want to just tear it all down and then find out I need some special tools or something.     :shruggy:   :brickwall:

Thanks in advance

Put bearings in my Son's 03 suregrip axle . Carrier adjusters take a special socket attached to a long (4 foot) extension that goes down the axle tube . Only have done one and a buddy with the socket helped .

A C body torsion bar works as a tool for the carrier bearing adjusters.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I've heard of using a torsion bar... I think it was from a dakota or something. Is that the only "special" tool? The clips are cheap enough. Its just that my experience level in doing this is ZERO. Thanks for the imput! Anyone else done it?
