ok im changing my oilpan gasket...is there any thing ie. casting numbers...markings..stampings..i can look for ...while im in there that will help me find anything out about my motor?...i did see a double roller timing chain..so far..gonna get some pictures later .thanks

While your under there you should be able to see the main casting number on the block on the side of the skirt.
Other than that the advice I can give you is to use copious amounts of pamela spread properly. torque it hand-tight after application, wait 30 minutes to 1 hour and torque to 5-7 ft lbs, then wait another 2 hours and torque to 15 ft lbs, then wait until tomorrow and torque to final spec.
No leaks if done right. If you rush things and try to fire up the engine and see if it will leak, you will cause a leak.

aifilaw, thank you for sharing the information. while my friend is scavenging some in the ole junk yard been considering to check the other parts as well it would be a shame if there are still other problems after fixing a small one. thanks.
