383 Crankshaft journal sizes

I have pulled the "original numbers matching" 383 from my 68 Charger. I am starting to pull it down tonight and have already ordered things I know I will need (valves, valve springs, gaskets etc), the only things I haven't ordered (as I don't know what size I will need) are the pistons, piston rings and bearings (rod and main) for the crankshaft.

Can anyone tell me the "standard crank" journal diameter (rod and main) so I know what size bearings I need?

I could just order standard sizes but I don't know what they are (and only by assuming that the crank is "standard" - we all know what happens when you ASSUME!)

My 70 Manual has the crank mains 2.6245-2.6255,  rod 2.374-2.375
The bearings would be ordered after the crank is checked and ground if neccessary by the machine shop.

If you're not going to have the crank machined or checked, check on the back of the bearings.
You're looking for something like: STD, 010, 020, 030.

If the bearings look OK, so no copper showing, flaking or scratches, you might get away with just replacing them.

So far, the bearings look in amazing shape. I may not need replace them at all! The bores look good so do the pistons and rings. I will hone the bores and replace the rings only at this stage.
