Also is Aztec Gold a factory 68' color? If not, what is paint code for that year? Another member here used to have a 68' the color I'm going to use, just can't locate who the person was/is right now.
Thanks    Mark
Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

THE STIG

Did you tell the seller that you are a previous owner or did you keep that on the down low to keep him from jacking you around on the price.

Cody, thanks for the info. I believe it was 1hotdaytona who has a 68' charger once painted gold, not 100% sure though. I love that color though, there is a photo of it here somewhere recently on another topic.
And no, the owner did not know I used to own it, no further comment necessary.  :D
I'm on cloud 9 tonight!

Ha, I tried to find the photo and you posted it. Sweetness, yep thats it... thanks Cody. Car has an estimated 580 or so H.P. all motor with 4.56 gears and manual valve body trani', back when I owned it, it ran a 10.87 in 1995 and car was parked after that due to no roll cage. My best run was 11.86

I still don't know what color I will go with when it is time, other than not red or black.

Photos, now keep in mind everybody. I'm a bodyman/painter 25 plus years, this charger will be sweeter than sweet when completed next year.
More photos tomorrow after inside shop. It runs awesome and isn't really all that bad, just looks like crap due to owner before me started to restore it via D.A. sander and no clue how to finish it, thank goodness  :icon_smile_big:
enjoy.........

Also, tunnel ram is off, single carb 800 Holley on it now, 4.56 gears still in it, rear tires are bald with old Centerlines still. Car has been sitting since 1990 or so in garage. Note 10.87 on windshield, which was last time car was driven at drag strip due to no roll cage.

Thanks a bunch. It's a org. 383 car, I bought it for $950.00 in Tacoma,WA. in the summer of 1985 then sold it a year and a half later for $2500.00 and only did the body/paint work to it, aside from drag racing it hard and putting it away wet, haha. I won't say how much I paid for it this time around, but I will say this, I still got a smokin' deal!

Thanks Cody..... I'm speechless this morning still, ha ha.. Exhaust is replaced while sitting in garage, has magnum manifolds on it right now, supercomp hooker headers are old and n/g. New set of TTI's are in order soon. Trani is rebuild also stage 2 kit w/a hi-stall conv' once again. Can't wait to start on the body now, dang customers of mine just don't understand to have enough patience to wait for their ride, ha ha.
