This Charger sounds nice, I think he's a member here. 40 series and stainless pipes.

I had flowmasters on my other Cuda with a 440  The drone was terrible.  It sounds good at Idle I thought. ( The pinging on the metal inside)

Here is a set of dynamax on my cuda.  I prefer the sound but this one does have an X pipe which changes the sound as well

after heard THRUST mufflers recently on a 400 with some nice toys ( same than I will mount but headers and intake ), preffer those againts Flowmasters 40. Dunno about the flow, but being same dual chamber they are better sound than 40 series and one small step quiter, so more "friendly"

Dunno about Flowmasteres 50s.

I've got Flowmasters on my '68 with a tti H-pipe, & Dynamax's on my '69 with a tti X-pipe.
Like Kamkuda, I like the tone of the Flowmaster's at idle. At cruising around town speed (35 - 45 mph), I feel like my head is gonna explode. Terrible drone.
On the other hand, the Dynamax Ultraflows are great. Very mellow at idle, but a much nicer cruising sound. Next exhaust I buy for the '68 will have Ultraflows for sure.

Sounds like Dynomax for me! Thanks for all the info. Since im putting a set of cut outs on I can still get the overkill roar I want but be able to turn it off. There are a few exhaust systems Ive seen that include cut outs. I am building my own exhaust but Im not sure what will work best or even make a diff. I am going with tti headers and using an H pipe but as far as how the cutouts exit Im not sure. I have seen them where they are the direct path from the collector and the rest of the exhaust comes out from the side of the pipe, which makes me think the cutouts will be more effective but how would that effect the rest of the exhaust? Ill try and find a pic of what I mean

I can't post links from my phone but I have videos of my car with 40's and the 50 SUV series on my car. Search youtube for "c00nhunterjoe" and you can hear several different clips of my car. I am extremly pleased with my swap to the flowmaster 50 SUV mufflers.

Wicked72

.....I dont know what to do...The sounds of the 50 series is awsome.... I was looking for vids like that joe thanks. So its between the dynomax and the 50s

No problem, both mufflers are a good choice. It comes down to your personal preference of sound.

Brass

There has been a lot of back and forth regarding Dynomax vs. Flowmasters on this site.  I have to say I love the sound of the Flowmasters - particularly at idle.  The Dynomax mufflers are a little more mellow but they still make a real riot when you stomp on it.  I have the round Ultra Flows and they're reasonably throaty.  (Dynomax also make a race bullet which I'm curious about.)  As far as design, Ultra Flows have a straight through passage.  The Flowmasters are chambered.  In the end, I agree its a personal preference.

Wicked72

I agree with that but i love the sound of both. I want to hear the car but be able to drive it long distances with feeling like my head will explode. I wish i could have two mopars side by side for comparison  :scratchchin:
