Looks like a nice car to me  :shruggy:    It's not for the day 1 crowd,  got some nice day 2 bolt-ons and what not.
Probably a nice driver.

So it's got some kind of a made up fender tag ??  And then ??

Could be real nice car for the right price.

O.K., What is the right price?

When I looked at the car in the spring, they had it listed for $50,000 online. When I got to the dealership, the price was dropped to $47,500.
:popcrn:

Anywhere in the low 40s is fair IMHO.   It's a numbers matching R/T SE ... what's wrong with that?   The reality is that it's at a dealership on consignment,  they're job is to make $$$ off it.  Somebody either built this either on speculation or maybe somebody is now unemployed and it's the car or the house... whatever.

I don't see any major body issues that need to be addressed besides a couple paint flaws being nit picked.

Given we know the fender tag is a fake, maybe the black is a restamp  :popcrn: Once my trust is broken, everything else is suspect  :icon_smile_angry:

Then it's obviously not the car for you or any others numbers matching day 1 resto purist.

A block restamp is a possibility...   I know people who know people that may do that sorta activity.
I'd never bother myself.   My blocks don't match,  I don't want them to, I do what I want.   And meanwhile we have people on this board who want to pass off build date blocks with other people encouraging it  ::)

What I do know is that the owner isn't making a butt load of cash off the car.   The cost of a decent resto job like this is gonna put the car way over the 20's/30's.    There's a lot of $$$stuff$$$ in that car.   Engine work,  TTI exhaust,  a big fat Dana underneath,  the AC works, nice fat metoo 500s.   Do that yourself to a typical rusted quarters / trunk floor / front floor board car at a typical resto shop and see how upside down you are at the end.

If somebody gets that price down a bit more,  they'll have a nice car...  numbers matching or not.   What I would tell anybody really interested in it is get on a MF'ing plane and go look at it yourself,  and that goes for any big ticket item on ebay / craigslist / moparts / even the classifieds here.   :Twocents:

You are right, it was NOT the car for me - who knows what that car even is, or was...  :o

I did look at the car in person. Nice driver. I'd give $25k for it and feel good about it. More than that, and I'd wonder about my regrets...
