Hi there!

As said in the other post, I got my Charger a vinyl top. Now I need to reinstall the windshield and bought a trim clip set beforehand. But the new clips for the lower part differ from what I pulled from the car.

These are the lower ones that were on the car:

(wasn't the car's original windshield, so there absolutely is a chance that these clips are not correct - but the car is an early '68 Charger if that matters?)

They look like the ones Tom @ RT Specialties sells for 66-67 cars:

From him I bought the clip set which said these are correct for the lower part:

I don't want to blindly follow that suggestion only to find out the trim won't fit into the latter clips. So can anyone confirm the latter can be used?

Thank you guys! This forum is great!

Okay, I'll better order the bigger ones then. Did they change it for '70? I thought the trim + windshield was exactly the same over the years?

Those longer ones you showed look too long to me. The last ones look correct.
And 68-70 shouldn't differ at all.

All ya gotta do is test the clip in the aperture and you'll see straight away if it's the correct length.
Gotta love a '69

some early 68's used the 67 clips. Either one will work as the trim itself ( afaik ? )  is the same. The difference is where the screw hole is located in the channel to attach it to

That's what I figured in the end. I did what doctor4766 said and the long ones fit perfectly. No additional holes or anything - they must be correct. So I just ordered new long ones a couple of minutes ago @ RTS. Thank you gtx6970 for confirming my theory.

Thanks guys, this forum is awesome!
