Can I fit a 440 in my 1971 Charger that does not have a power bulge hood will the std hood still close alright? It currently has a small block installed.

Sure, lots of 440's are installed in 3rd gen Chargers with flat hoods. Intake manifold selection is limited but your 440 will fit fine.  :yesnod:

mine does :) it fit under the flat hood until I went and stuck a holly hi-rise intake on it - then I had to cut a hole in the hood for the cleaner..
