Dantes noted that Superbird vinyl tops are same as standard RR tops, Is this the case? I was under the impression there was a difference. :shruggy:

Dante gets his tops through Legendary, and they stock two part numbers.  The difference is the cut--there's more material around the rear window.

and duh they're all boar grain for '70 road runners...........................................................................

I have the grain part, I always thought there was a difference between the SB and the RR but when he said theyre the same I presumed I was mistaken...... :icon_smile_blackeye:

Ive had mixed feelings about that vendor since I had both positive and negative transactions with him. I guess this ices the cake.  :brickwall:

Really?  I've never had a problem with him, and I used to order a bunch of parts from him when I was at best of show.  I'd give him good marks.

I've had positive experiences with ordering from Dante's. Everything was correct and I had no returns or issues.

Here is OEM material to compare.

Ive still got the original top but there is some poor factory body work that needs to be done to the plug along with some metal that is starting to bubble in the lower C pillar. When we lifted the top to get a peak the top is pretty brittle and I decided to replace it since I dont want issues down the road from lifting it. I also would prefer to have a new top rather than  40+ year old on the fresh restoration.  :shruggy:
