I know you guys thought I would be stupid for getting these wheels, but I just had to take the chance.. and I think it paid off!
I must give thanks to tufcat who was so kind as to let me pick them up from his home. If you haven't met him, hes a great guy.

So which wheel do you like?

Hi Adam,

Its a beautiful car to begin with and I'm partial to TTII and Mag500's. Hell, keep both sets and swap them out occasionally to keep the look fresh! Nice stuff buddy.

I was told the offset (-22 millimeters, 3.2" backspacing, on an 8" wheel) would be too much and it could rub. But after I saw what car they came off of (a 69 charger) I had to pull the trigger. So let everyone know that an 8" wheel with -22 millimeter offset will work on a charger with 255/60/15 tires.

On a side note, I was given 20 lug nuts (10 left and 10 right thread), however my car through its 41 year lifespan was converted to all right thread. Does anyone know where I could find lugnuts that look like these?

Looks great to me either way!  :yesnod:  The lugs look like they came of a new car with alloy wheels where they have a captured washer.

69 with 68 front end eh?

Yeah... the guy before me just wanted a charger and didn't care where the parts came from, I will fix it eventually, I just wish he would have kept the fender tag...

Looks great!  I like the magnums and steelies too, but prefer to run aftermarket of some sort.

Stay with the mags (new wheels).  They look the best as you can always put the magnum500's on there.

Thank you, I appreciate all of the positive feedback, sadly after I convert the brakes to 11" discs all around the magnum 500s will no longer work (only 14"), this is why I pulled the trigger on the new wheels. I also have been restoring a set of steelies for... fun purposes.

The guy I talked to wanted $25 per wheel to sandblast them and paint would have been around 200. So I used a wire wheel on my powerdrill and some rustolium primer and gloss black and restored them myself.
You can see my progress here.
