And some more.............
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

twodko

Yet more grille work..........I found the top center mounting tab broken so I fabricated a piece of aluminum, drilled it and epoxied it in place. After the center section was painted you'll never see it and its strong!

Now the fun stuff......body work or lack thereof.
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

twodko

More body work........the only real damage was the usual rust in the back glass corners and some weird dimpling on the passenger side quarter panel. Maybe gravel damage?
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

twodko

More.......this shop is owned by a former neighbor of ours. The staff are true craftsman, they handmade patch panels for the rear glass corners! Awsome.
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

twodko

Yet more.......shot the roof, jambs and sail panel in preparation for the new vinyl top. Yippeee!
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

twodko

All the body work is done and its off to the upholstery shop.

Are you going to paint the tail panel Black? Or did you opt for it to be like that?

I thought we'd just leave it body color although now that its back home the tail panel just doesn't seem right. New tail light bezels will certainly fill part of that void but it really does need to blacked out. The hood depressions need that black tape too.

Yeah, black it out.  But other than that, it's just perfect.  Congrats on a job well done.

A wonderful job on a beautiful Charger. Go ahead and paint the tailpiece though and, maybe, the hood can use the tape but, it  looks great now!
