Question about front 10" drums (1969)

Are the drums supposed to be separate from the hubs or are the drums and hubs a single unit? On my car, the driver side front hub is a replacement (replaced long before I got the car), and it is separate from the hub. On the passenger side, it has what appears to be the original drum, and the mechanic that removed it thought that it and the hub were one piece.

Fronts are usually 1 piece hub and drum.
