I was considering buying this and selling mine, but I opted to stick with what I have (I still need to post some pics of mine). Anyway, looks very clean, I have spoken with the guy twice on it.  The auction doesn't have some of the undercarriage shots, I have posted the ones he sent below.  Car was originally from California, looks pretty clean.  I guess its hard to tell with the undercoating.  I don't know if that was the original or it was recoated later.  You can see what looks to be the orig blue underneath. Last pic shows small amount of surface rust underneath, still looks pretty solid.  I am sure more of the people on here could say if that tends to help or hurt for rust.  He does not have any info from the fender tag and never decoded it.  Orig 318 now a 440, with some recent top-end upgrades.  It was not redone by him or the prior owner, so it was probably done over 11 yrs ago.  Seems like a nice straight up guy, his cell is in the ad.  I am getting his tire sizing info and such, explained what I was thinking with mine and his, told him I would post it on here, since I wasn't pursuing it. Not gaining anything, I do not know the guy, just thought I would pass on what seems to be a nice solid, sweet looking Charger.  Value vs price???   He did say reserve is under the BIN. Car is just outside of the Detroit area.

Nice looking car, I'm not sure if it is worth the BIN though since it was a 318 car originally though.  RT cars are selling for a little more. Looks like the original undercoating to me that has been sprayed with black paint.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.  Still a nice car, I think it could be had for under 30 with cash, from what I got out of talking with him. Even at that, an ok deal, but not a steal.  The prices are just through the roof, even with a drop in the economy.  I could have bought a very straight and clean black 70 Charger with a 440 for $9500, just 8 yrs ago.  The guy that bought it, put it on Ebay for $12,500.

That way you respond through craigslist and want you to send them the money sight unseen ::)  Craigslist is full of scammers right now. I end up flagging several a day. I just flagged it so it should vanish soon.

Hmmmm I always see the flagging option. I love it when it's winter and some jackass tries to sell a bmw with palm trees all around it and says must sell soon with no number and a huge scrolling gmail addy going across the screen and want's you to send 2K to secure a deal with a moneygram  ::)

Yeah, nice one.  It is def. up in southeast Michigan.  It stinks because some good things actually can be had on craigslist. But this stuff makes you want to forget all about it.  :icon_smile_angry:

It's back on Ebay too.

I wonder if the owner knows that some on craigslist is using his car as a scam? I flagged it and it's still on there. I guess maybe the people bhind their desks think this is a normal price.

Yeah, I am sure just a "few" people would pick it up for that price.  I flagged it too.  I still have his number on my cell, I will give him a call tomorrow just as a heads-up.  Wonder if Craigslist will even care if the actual owner complains.

It looks like very nice Charger. I like it alot. I am surprised I do not know of it or have ever seen it around at any of the mopar shows or crusie nights in the Detroit area.

Seller is a Mopar guy, said he usually knows cars in the area, but the guy that had it for 8 yrs prior never drove it.  The car was right down the street from him and he didn't even know it. He says its never seen water or been washed, due to only driving for a Sunday drive once in awhile.  I asked what about bugs after a cruise night and such, he said never goes to them, just drives it for himself.
