Yeah if it's a girlymatic, the old crusty ones will work.   :D

15K for this set of max wedge manifolds wasn't so bad afterall.

There are seller who do that, and they don't really wanna sell the part or have sold them an wanna keep the ad. :2thumbs:
I did see several taillights in the price range from 10 Dollar - 3500 Dollar.

He is a little high. I have seen 2 other sets of these for sale in the last three years and they all went over $2K. I went to try and get mine fixed and replated and the shop wanted $1200. Thats why you won't see any close-ups of the back of my car. lol   The were polished and painted for $32.

Troy

They were $3,000 last week. I've never understood the logic of raising the price of an item you can't seem to sell. It must work sometimes or you'd think people would stop doing it.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Every penny. Until you have had to search for a good set, you don't realize how valuable they are.

Bet he's been sitting on them for a long time...............   Nice items................. expensive items................ But, with BE&A's stuff, sort of becoming obsolete expect for the bigtime-have-to-have-NOS-only restorations.......

That's typical for that seller.

Ah, Yes... Great Lakes NOS... Those might be the same ones that I looked at in 2004 at the Mopar Nats, priced at $2300.

Now, wouldn't it be funny if someone had something that Greg would desperately want... and that someone might ask that these taillights be thrown in for free to any upcoming deal... just supposing, mind ya...  :D  :whistling:

The fella I purchased my 68 doors off of over in Grand Blanc Michigan has 2 sets of NOS lights he showed me when I picked up my doors. One set was still in the boxes and the others were a little worn. I know restoring a set in good condition is pricy but those are out of my $ range. I bought a repro set from PG for $850...yikes...but I am not going totally original anyway and they look great for my resto mod...

I also got  pair from Mike @ BEA when they were first released and they are great reproduction of a very needed part.

WHOAH!!!  :o

Last year, I got called to my buddy's shop.. He says "You know ______, right? (his family has owned a junkyard since the mid 60's) Well, he brought a gift over for you, come get it!".

I got to the shop, and there was a box.. Inside the box were two tail lights removed from a '69 Charger in January 1970. The car had 1000 miles on it when it was totaled up front..  They were FREE, because he wanted to help with the rebuild...

Until now , I had no idea how valuable they were  :o

HOTROD

The people that lost there mind are the ones that PAY the price for these items and screw the people that are trying to make a buck !!

I had my 68's rechromed by a shop for 400 bucks.  That was a while back and they still look great.

With all the funky angles on these lights, you could get great results with that chrome paint.not rattle can junk, but that stuff that you have to shoot from a gun..  mirra chrome?
