the sales pitch says that they work with Victor intake manifolds, will regular 440 intakes work, is there a spacer or they just work with Victor intakes??

This doesn't exactly qualify as a definitive answer, but victor manifolds work with other heads, so theoretically they should work the other way as well.

Yes, my info says the Victor heads have raised intake runners, but at the same time the runners are lengthened so a standard manifold will bolt on without spacers. There are issues to consider with the valley pan and rocker arms.
