Is the bracket at the front supposed to be black or body color?

The car is looking great.I notice you are staying with drum brakes on the front. Any planes on upgrading them? Keep the pictures coming. :2thumbs:

Nope. I'm not even gonna upgrade the radio. (Well, aside from making it work again...)

Worked on the motor a little more today (In between stacking a cord of wood and mowing the lawn).

Got the other side of the Motor cleaned up and painted

All the correct spark plug wire looms installed

Finished the front and got the water pump on

Finished about 5 of these

Got the intake manifold blasted. If you don't have a blasting cabinet you should get one!  Holy cow does it make cleaning things up easy!

Blasted the exhaust manifolds to get the ready for paint

First time using this stuff.  Hope it works well.

Painted!

Hopefully I'll have everything ready to go back together tomorrow!

I haven't been on the net much, as I spilled my morning coffee right into the keyboard of my laptop.  :brick wall:  After a week and a half of cuddling with a bag of rice in a seal bag, it works! :2thumbs:  Gotta love a mac!

Here's what i've been up to.  Before and after of miscellaneous parts.
These were soaked in my electrolysis bath over night, then wiped clean with a rag.

Also got the wiper motor fixed up.  Thanks to Kim at passion4mopars for the advice.  You were more than helpful.  (Still not quite sure what the problem was, but I fixed it none the less.)

Transmission before and after:

Its slowwwwwly going back together!!!!

I wire wheeled the tranny and then clear coated it with satin krylon.  Wasn't quite the finish I was looking for... :shruggy:  It made the aluminum look much darker.

Getting closer.....

The tranny is now in, just waiting on odds and end parts.  Although I now realize that I got the wrong oil pan...It sits on the drag link. :brickwall: Thats what I get for using ebay.
