It looks like the "a la carte" items from Spectre. http://spectreperformance.com/#HOME

Their catalog has 1000's of parts to work with. http://spectreperformance.com/#CATALOG

There are lots of ideas kicked around at the Spectre forum: http://www.powerflowracing.com/forum/default.asp

I considered it, found other companies that make intake parts too, but didn't proceed for two reasons: the parts all seem poorly made to me (found several at local stores) and frankly pretty ugly when assembled.  :Twocents:

Thanks guys!

Im going to see how much the gentleman that did my frame connectors can do it for (same guy thats been working on jeff JB666's general lee). Unless i have a parts box full of tubes i have no idea the dimensions so id rather have the pro do it.

Will post up when i get it done as soon as i get the new motor in  :2thumbs:

bad pic. but heres mine. Looks like the robot from lost in space. I have replaced most of the flexible duct with 4 in aluminum and black rubber clamp on joints.

i was just going to try and search for this pic in a thread i saw awhile back that had it in. does anyone notice any difference with there cold air intake? is there any other function or advantage to using a kit like this? other then gettting cold air from the front end of the car.almost looks like your packing a hell of a engine until you look and see no turbo or procharger. would a hood scoop be more functionable with a K&N filter top then one of these kits? the scoop will push air right down to the carb with less travel then the spectre kit has to leaving room to have the air heat up on its way through the tubes as it crosses atop the engine. wouldn't it?

Looks cool, but for what it's worth, that first set up seems awfully restrictive, especially at the carb throat.

I did notice the engine runs better in hot weather. When its below freezing , I disconect them, its gets so cold with the thermoquad and the unheated intake that the accelerator pump is not big enough to keep it from hasitating with sudden WOT.

I have thought about making an air grabber door for the hood. Not that I think it would work any better , it would just look cool.

Spetre says my system can flow about 1300 cfm and support 800* HP . More than enough for me.

Specter make some stuff that is junk, but is just an aircleaner.

When I did this to the Daytona...I just wanted cooler air going into the carb rather than hot under-hood air....

would a T/A style hood be more efficiant with a K&N filter top air filter then the spectre CAI?
