Finally had time to install the stripe on my 68 last weekend. Black vinyl top, black interior, black floor mats, black paint, and yes, a matte black stripe. My type of funeral car.

and before someone asks what's in the trailer in front of the Charger here you go. It's my next project, a 67 GTX. Also, now that my Charger is 100% done, it will be torn apart over the winter so i can install my 426 Hemi. I also have a set of magnum 500's going on. I promised myself one summer of driving the car as the bullitt Charger. That theme will be retired as soon as the snow flies. I put 1800 miles on the car since finishing it. Next summer is will have its new heart (HEMI), 15x8 magnums in the rear with 275-60-15 skins and 15x7 magnums up front with 225-70-15 skins.

Looks familiar!!
Except I still have mine.....for now.  As for the GTX I would like to keep it a driver but at some point I have the gut feeling that it will be completely taken apart and the game starts over...I did get the news that there's absolutely no cure for the addiction to this Mopar problem. Hello, my name is Mark and I'm a Moparholic. I swore up and down that my 68 Charger would be the LAST one...

You can say that again!!
Nearly every Mopar dude I know has more than one car in their garage, Unlike the GM and Ford guys I know.

Nice job btw, it looks very stealth.

I like your wheel and tire combo.... :2thumbs:
Thanks. Around here I'm about the only person that actually likes the steel wheel/hubcap look. All I heard all summer long was people asking when I was going to put some real wheels and tires on the car. Well, I'm going to take care of that along with a few other changes. Say goodbye to Bullitt and say hello to King Kong. Stay tuned.

Did you put the stripe on yourself? If so how hard of a task was it?

My good friend who did the bodywork and paint and myself did it together. It really wasn't too hard. It was the first time I've ever done one and we didn't encounter any issues.
