A question on third gen hoods.  What is the difference in the hood on 71 Super Bee's.
One has the door and the other an insert like on Peter's from Australia and John from Florida for example. (On the calendar)
What is the insert called?
Are the 2 hoods the same, well, the opening?

SAME HOOD, DIFF INSERT, THATS ALL...

the only difference could it be if is a late or earlier hood with non gapped grille or a small gap on rear grille, mostly identified as 72 hood but used on some lates 71s, thats all, but opening to insert is the same

So would one fit on a 73?    :whistling:

FLG

Yep,

All hoods 71-4 are interchangable

I was just reading http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,75037.0.html
Since there are 3 different ones, I guess my question is this: is the hood opening the same for all 3?
Or is there a different one for the air/door one?

FLG

Yes, same opening just different inserts.

Nacho-RT74

not the rammed one.. smaller opening and without insert stud provisions
