from what i can make out , from looking at a few different cars to the SPD s
the all chrome  centre  half horn ring  , is an early build 68 model year ,  ,  late 67 built     !!   the charger that chrome wheel belongs to prolly would have the rear light panel reinforcements & rear deck lid  ,  skeleton inner frame
this wheel also  seen on  67 model year B-bodys  , & the black vinyl horn pad is the 68 model  :scratchchin:

On that wheel in 68 , they usually have the really short chrome one (67 style) onearly cars and the the later cars had the soft pad simlar to the one pictured, but without the fratzog emblem. This one is a new one on me.  :shruggy:

Yep, I've not seen that center button before. I've attached a pic of my wood wheel button and the standard wheel button for comparison sakes. Are there photos of '67's using that button?

Are the attaching points the same on those two horn pads?
I would say it's a combination of the two.

My '68 Coronet R/T has the wooden wheel with a horn button like the one in the first picture.

Dans 68

Yes, but that button is different from the one 1hotdaytona posted. Here is the page for the '68 Coronet steering wheels http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/DealershipDataBook/1968/68_Coronet0014.jpg. Not a match either.

The normal button for the '68's, and '69's, has the fratzog recessed and simulated stitching on the diameter. The one in question has neither of these features.  :scratchchin:
